1. Data controller information
SoCalSolver, a product of Fidamen, is the data controller. You can contact us at research@socalsolver.com.
2. Personal data collected
We collect only technical data necessary to operate the site: anonymized IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and session duration. We do not collect your name, email, precise location, or sensitive data unless you voluntarily provide it through contact forms.
3. Legal basis for processing
Processing is based on legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) to improve the service and analyze site traffic in aggregated, anonymized form.
4. Processing purposes
Data is used for: (a) providing and maintaining the website; (b) analyzing traffic and improving user experience; (c) monitoring and preventing security threats; (d) responding to your contact requests.
5. Data recipients
Technical data is processed by SoCalSolver, our hosting provider (Vercel), our analytics service (Google Analytics, anonymized) and our advertising partners. In particular, the site displays ads through Google AdSense: Google and its partners may process browsing data to select and measure ads. We do not sell your personal data.
6. Data retention
Technical data is retained for a maximum of 90 days. Contact request data is retained for 12 months unless you request deletion.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to: access your data; correct it; delete it (right to be forgotten); limit processing; data portability; object to processing. Contact research@socalsolver.com to exercise your rights.
8. Cookies, advertising and Google AdSense
We use technical cookies necessary for the site to function and analytical cookies (Google Analytics) in anonymized form. In addition, this site serves ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners (third-party vendors) use cookies and similar identifiers to show ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their browsing. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com). To learn more or opt out of third-party vendors' cookies, visit www.aboutads.info/choices or, if you are in the EU, www.youronlinechoices.eu. You can also manage or disable cookies through your browser settings.
9. International transfers
Some data may be transferred to providers outside the EU (e.g., Vercel in the USA). Such transfers comply with GDPR requirements (standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions).
10. Privacy contacts
For privacy questions, to exercise your rights, or to report violations, contact research@socalsolver.com. We will respond within 30 days.
This policy may be updated at any time. We recommend checking periodically for changes.
